Storm Surge

Waves crashing through my mind

Stirring up the sand
Each day is different
More and more become calm
But then there are storms,
Dark clouds and heavy rains
The don’t last long
And once they have passed
I find bliss in it all
The rain melts away another layer
One step closer to eternal sunshine

Sitting, watching, looking
Completely content I am still
Quiet and reserved
I could be an alien from another planet
Here I am, an other
But where do I fit?
Where are my people?

Cliche Change

I will emerge a butterfly, so graceful, so light. Flying in beauty all day and all night. Open and free I might dance I might sing. Soaring high as I look down at my wing. I am here to please me while being civil and kind. Leaving all chatter within my mind. If I am happy I can make others happy. If I have love for me, the rest of the people will see. Life is grand if I live my truth and don’t be afraid to lend a hand.
